 Message To the Fans:

As many of us know, next week Tuesday will make 8 years since Aaliyah and her friends left this earth. Aaliyah's myspace page has left a message for the fans, regarding the memorial
:

*****August 25, 2009 - Open Invite to All Aaliyah Fans*****

There will be a Memorial for Aaliyah at Rosewood Mausoleum (located at Ferncliff Cemetery) in Hartsdale, New York between 11:00AM and 4:00PM.

Aaliyah's music and videos will be played.

A short Memorial Mass will be held at 3:00PM.

Special Memorial Keepsakes will be given out (while supplies last).

We invite everyone to Aaliyah's Weeping Willow Tree in Central Park @ 7:30PM for a Candlelight Vigil honoring her memory.

For directions to Rosewood Mausoleum (at Ferncliff) and Aaliyah's Weeping Willow Tree in Central Park, please visit http://www.aaliyah.com/aaliyah/weepingwillow.html

We hope you can join us in celebrating the life of our dearest Aaliyah...

If you cannot attend the Candlelight Vigil in NYC's Central Park, you can still remember Aaliyah in your own special way.  Call your local radio stations and request her music (before August 25th and on August 25 - ask if your radio station(s) can play tribute(s) for Aaliyah), listen to her music at home, light a candle in her memory, watch her music videos and movies, or donate to the Aaliyah Memorial Fund...

Aaliyah continues to touch people today through her music and positive example while she was with us.  We thank all of Aaliyah's fans for their love, support, and continued dedication to our Angel.  Her legacy lives on...

If you'd like to make a contribution to the Aaliyah Memorial Fund, please visit http://www.aaliyah.com/aaliyah/fund.html for more information.  No donation is too little.

With Aaliyah In Our Hearts...Always! ~A~

I will keep the Haughton family and the families who also lost a loved one on that day in my prayers, because although eight years seems like a long time to us, it feel like yesterday to them.
